Cardiac Rehab

The Cardiac Rehabilitation program is concerned with the full development of each cardiac patient's physical, mental, social and vocational potential. The overall goal of the program is to assist individuals in returning to a more healthful, productive life-style and prevent further progression of cardiac disease. Individuals recovering from heart attack, heart surgery or coronary artery disease may all benefit from the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

A professional team of physicians, cardiopulmonary specialists, nurses, physical therapists and registered dietitians structure a comprehensive plan for each participant beginning with one-on-one patient and family teaching sessions.
